AT DAWN WE SLEPT

All my life I was told that we must NEVER FORGET that this happened:

. . . that America let her guard down and a cunning, unethical enemy took advantage, blindsided us in a sneak attack at dawn.

And then it happened again, in my own lifetime:

We must never forget:

THE PRICE OF LIBERTY IS ETERNAL VIGILANCE

The title to this posting is borrowed from the book At Dawn We Slept: The Untold Story of Pearl Harbor by Gordon W. Prange, Donald M. Goldstein, Katherine V. Dillon

  3. I recall that the first time things ended with a nuking or two.

A good example of cause and effect that a few other people could do well to keep in mind.
